Monitoring your child’s email account:
                  
You will need to ask your child what his/her username and password are. Once you have the password,
you can login to your child’s account and view sent and received messages. The documents listed below

http://www.greenville.k12.sc.us- Look under parents then go to resources and you will find information on character education and links for other government resources. Type in homework under search on our site and you will find links for homework help.

http://www.ed.sc.gov Good information for parents and students about curriculum standards, testing & assessment, and education in SC.

http://www.redribbonworks.org Under resources, there are 3 topics, parent tool kit, drug information, and tobacco information. Parent tool kit has information about alcohol, heroin, inhalants, marijuana, methamphetamine, tobacco, kids don’t come with a manual and additional links to parental information.

Click on parenting and you can read or download information from their handbook that has information on common emergencies, medical concerns, safety issues and school success considerations. School Success Considerations has good information covering after-school care, bullying, developmental milestones, gangs, homework, moving to another school, parent-teacher conferences, parental involvement and sexual harassment.

http://www.cdc.gov/ - Centers for Disease Control & Prevention.Click on disabilities and you will find help for ADHD, Autism, Developmental Disabilities and more. The ADHD page has a lot of helpful information about what is ADHD and the symptoms plus how it effects relationships and more.

Mental Health Services:

http://www.nimh.nih.govNational Institute of Mental Health site. Provides information on anxietydisorders, ADHD, Autism, Bi-Polar Disorder, Depression, Eating Disorders, and more.

http://www.samhsa.gov Look on the right and click on a mental health problem and you will find information for families dealing with many issues including suicide prevention and other mental health issues.

http://www.pcmhs.org Piedmont Center for Mental Health Services provides an array of assessment, psychotherapy, and treatment services to adults, children, and their families who are experiencing a wide variety of mental health problems.

http://www.thecarolinacenter.com The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is an 82 bed facility owned, managed and operated by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. The facility, located in upstate South Carolina, specializes in psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment for adolescents, adults and senioradults. To meet the diverse needs of the community, an array of inpatient and outpatient programs are offered in addition to a 24-hour needs assessment and referral service.

http://www.compassofcarolina.org - The Second Chance Program is designed for juveniles and parents to address problems of delinquent behaviors, such as truancy, domestic violence, stealing, aggression, bullying and disorderly conduct. Participants may be court ordered or voluntary. The program consists of six workshops to help in the development of human relations and communication skills. Workshops are two hours long and are held once a week.
